About This Workshop

We've all been there: the data you need to perform analysis or to put together a presentation lives in a database, and this will be the 20th time that you've had to bother the IT department or data engineers for an Excel export of the data. If only there were a simple, flexible, and quick way to get the data yourself....

Explore the intersection of coding and data with General Assembly. During our Python-focused intro class, you’ll learn all about Python - including how to get started, advantages and disadvantages of Python, essentials of programming in Python, and tools available to build applications in Python.

SQL to the rescue!

SQL, or Structured Query Language, is a simple programming language that enables you to efficiently create, alter, request, and aggregate data. Databases are ubiquitous in today's digital world, and SQL is your key to interacting with the valuable data inside them. Come and learn the basics of databases and how SQL can fit into your workflow, and practice basic SQL with live activities.

Chart your own career path. Pick up where this workshop leaves off. Enhance your professional data analysis skill set with one of our data analytics offerings.
