React is one of the newest and most popular Javascript libraries for building reusable UI components and utilizing a one-way data flow.

React-Native takes all these wonderful features and applies them to mobile app development. This presentation will be on the basics of React-Native including required software, set-up, React-Native specific components and a few key features such as hot reloading and the Navigator.

Merik is a graduate of the Hack Reactor immersive program where he built several full-stack applications with a focus on React/Redux and React-Native.

Merik also brings extensive experience from film industry where he has contributed to leading companies such as DreamWorks and Deluxe Media. Merik has continued his quest to fully understand how every aspect of a computer works in addition to more advanced topics surrounding mobile development.

Parking:

There are two paid lots. The lot adjacent to the building is $10/day or $5 after 4pm. The lot across the street is $9/day or $5 after 4pm. Both lots take credit cards. There is also metered street parking in the area, which is free after 6pm. The building is also near the Blue Line train (LATCC stop) and bus stop (40/45/745).

After checking in with the security desk in the lobby, take the elevator up to the 11th floor, turn right and follow the hallway around the corner to Suite 1109.
