About this event
How do we prepare students for jobs that don’t yet exist, using technologies that haven’t been invented, in order to solve problems we don’t yet know are problems? How do we prepare all students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds, for a changing job market? What skill sets are needed for students to be ready and prepared to succeed in the jobs of today’s economy and those we can’t yet imagine?
STEAM education is one of the most powerful tools we have to connect our students to the opportunities of a future innovation economy. The proliferation of new edtech is transformative, and yet many of those who could most benefit from that lift are still left out of the tech bubble enveloping the more well-to-do districts and communities.
Come join us as we discuss the need for STEAM education, showcase the technologies that are moving the needle, and meet the movers and shakers who are making it possible.
