Textile collection agencies and nonprofits have and will continue to be inundated with more donations than they can process. In addition to wasteful practices by industry and consumers, the novel coronavirus pandemic has accelerated a change for consumer buying trends that may be hard to roll back. What innovative solutions can be developed to ensure that our unwanted garments and textile products are disposed of in a way that promotes reuse and recycling in order to “ride the wave” of change in the apparel industry?
