About this event

A tremendous amount of attention is dedicated to making workplace environments more diverse and inclusive. Yet, despite concentrated effort, women continue to face implicit and explicit barriers in the workplace, and are underrepresented in management and senior leadership positions. Women make up less than 30% of the computing workforce and about 1.5% of contributions to open source projects. Women of color experience even greater challenges. Join us at this panel discussion where women professionals from racially diverse backgrounds explore, discuss and unpack how gender and race intersect in the workplace, as well as share their personal stories of career surprise, heartache, and triumph.
