About this event

Introduction We have been to diversity panels and listened to countless talks. We have all recognized that the lack of diversity is a major problem in the tech community, not just in Boston but all over the US. General Assembly and Resilient Coders have come together because we have decided that we are done talking.

Join us on February 23rd for a Diversity event focused on action. We will be using design thinking principles and applying them to our problem statement to build action steps we can all start working towards immediately.

Why It Matters David Delmar, Founder of Resilent Coders told Microsoft New England in an Interview about his inspiration for the organization: “When I counted maybe 14 people of color out of 10s of thousands. That’s a real problem. That’s an actual problem. I started trying to code my way out of it,” Delmar said. “But It’s not a software problem. It is a people problem. It is a roll up your sleeves and get in there problem.”

What You'll Take Away Leave with tools and solutions to take back to your company and start implementing real change!
