Learn how applying design thinking to conversations can help create better, more trustworthy experiences and how creating chatbots (robots you interact with via messaging) allows us to experiment with artificial intelligence and automation. By applying principles from human-centered design and Lean UX to conversation design, we can create rich and effective interactions that can actually help make our lives easier. During this three-hour session, you'll get started designing conversations by working in teams to make your own chat bots.
You will:
• Learn about conversation design and why it's important
• Use design thinking principles to help you navigate conversation design
• Learn how to apply machine learning, AI, and automation
• Discover the many ways chatbots can be used and build a Slack chat bot of your own (using BotKit)
