    About this event

Did you know that someone's attention span lasts for an average of only 10 minutes straight? Did you know that people from different cultures actually see things differently on a physical level? Did you know that most decisions are made unconsciously? Did you know that people will pay more, the more 'real' something appears to be?

All of these facts impact design, and designers take all sorts of behavioural, physical, and philosophical conditions into consideration when thinking about the way that users interact with the world and with websites. Especially now that the digital age is upon us, designers are constantly faced with the challenge of making traditional design skills more relevant through software and computers.

Come listen to a series of short speaker presentations under the broad theme of 'What You Didn't Know About Design.' Each presentation will be maxed out at 5 minutes, so expect short, punchy talks. After all, our attention spans can't handle much more than that....right?

    Takeaways

You will learn the wackiest, most interesting, craziest things about design, what it's like to be a UX design expert, and how to make traditional design skills more relevant in the digital age.
