Design isn’t just beauty. Design isn’t just art. Design isn’t just function……. So what is it? Join Zenman and General Assembly Denver for an evening of looking at the intersection of technology, business, and design.

We will start with a lightning talk from Keith Roberts, Founder and Creative Director at Zenman. Keith will give us highlights and insights from John Maeda’s annual #DesignInTech report. We will look at the design trends that are influencing both corporate and startup ecosystems as well as simply daily life.

After the lightning talk, we will hear from a panel of experts. Our conversation will center around the marriage, or lack of marriage, between design and technology here in Denver. We will discuss the way design influences product creation, user adoption, and growth. Our panel will share their thoughts how to give their non-designers an ability to get to a place of design thinking. We will talk about how to give non-developers and understanding of technology needs. We will talk about where Design can be outsourced and where it must be a fundamental part of the internal team.
