Creating Holiday Cheer with Jupyter Notebooks and Python | Columbus

About this event

Jupyter Notebook is an open-source web-based environment used heavily for scientific computing in Python. It’s no surprise, it was made by scientists, and there are still many scientists actively involved in maintaining this project. With Jupyter Notebooks, you can run code, embed mathematical equations, add narrative text, perform data analysis, and embed various media.

In this live training session technical trainer, Doug Purcell will show you how to quickly install Jupyter Notebooks, how to run code, how to create stunning visuals with Matplotlib, how to embed LaTEX equations, how to run audio, and how to embed YouTube videos in your notebooks.

This is a hands-on training session and those in attendance will be given time to create their own Jupyter Notebooks along with getting guidance from Doug.
