Thinking of learning to code, but getting lost in the alphabet soup (AJAX, PHP, CSS, etc)? Whether you're interested in building your own web sites and applications, or looking to change careers, our workshop will not only introduce you to the world of web development (and programming in general), but it will also give you the tools you need to start coding.
This workshop will be comprised of two parts:
1. Web Development - Let's Break It Down : In Part I, we'll take you through the ins-and-outs of web development. We'll dive into specific programming languages, tools, and real life examples. We'll also discuss what you need to get started as a web developer, as well as how you can break into this dynamic field.

2. Dash Hack : During Part II of the day, you'll have the opportunity to put your skills to work with General Assembly's dash platform. Dash is the easiest tool to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You'll work alongside our GA team and other hackers-in-the-making as we navigate our way through fun online tutorials. This part will be a casual, self-paced session. You'll walk away with a better understand of front-end web development and build something awesome along the way.
