About this event

Join Women Catalysts at General Assembly on Thursday, September 24 for a community co-working day featuring a storytelling lunch and learn with Kim Hunter and personal branding afternoon session with stylist Alexa Alford.

SCHEDULE

9:30AM Opening

12PM-1PM Know Your Audience, Shift Your Narrative with Kim Hunter Utilize all the different facets of your story to connect with anyone you meet. Think of our personal narratives as spokes in an umbrella; by knowing your audience, you can select the right spokes to make more meaningful connections.

3-3:30PM Styling for Your Personal Brand with Alexa Alford

5:30PM Closing

In addition to the two main segments above, we'll be leading exercises to help you connect with other co-working day participants and offering a supportive community to help you with whatever you're working on. You are welcome to join for all or any part of the day.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Kim Hunter is a skilled communicator and a leader with a passion for creating change. She has worked for some of the most influential organizations and politicians in the country, including the Democratic National Committee, Senator Jim Webb, and the ONE Campaign. She currently leads communications at Aclima and in her free time guides groups including Women Catalysts and The Bad Ass Women's Group to empower and connect dreamers and doers.

Alexa Alford is a personal stylist on a mission to help women look as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. Using her 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, she works one-on-one with women to help them find their unique style and build a wardrobe that reflects who they are and how they want to feel. She is also the voice of Little Pink Moto, a fashion blog dedicated to sharing practical styling how-to's, as well as breaking down the latest fashion trends for the everyday lady.
