    About this event

Please join us for a free Coding For Your Classroom workshop to learn about programming languages HTML and CSS, the fundamental building blocks of the web. In this workshop you will learn the first steps to writing code and receive an introduction to General Assembly’s free learning tool DASH , which can be used with your students.

This session, designed for the beginner programmer, will assume no previous coding knowledge. We'll go over key coding terminology and principles, introduce languages like HTML and CSS—what their functions are, how they work together—and use that new knowledge to write our own code and develop our own simple site.

This conversation will be geared toward middle and high school classrooms. This workshop is free for educators only so please register with your school email.

Stay after the panel discussion with some of Chicago's innovative EdTech companies to learn about what their software and apps can do in your school. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Grab your team and register for Coding for Your Classroom and the Tech Built for Teachers panel discussion now!
