About This Event

Are you in the midst of changing jobs and looking to showcase your portfolio? Are you ready to advance your career and demonstrate your expertise? Or maybe you’re fully committed to launching a business and want to attract clients ASAP. The goals may be different, but the path to achieving them still begins with taking action and getting your website out there for the world to see! In this interactive workshop, we’ll cover a variety of topics on website design and brand strategy, including a brief discussion on various tools and platforms, the most important things to include on your homepage, and tips on writing great copy that reflects your personality. We’ll review simple ways to help visitors not just find your site, but also engage with your content. You can take notes for later or implement changes to your site in real time! Either way, you’ll be connecting with prospective employers and/or generating leads in no time!

Meg Ehman is a Digital Marketing Strategist and Website Designer, with seven years of experience launching brands. Based in San Diego, Meg advises small businesses and non-profits on brand strategy, while taking the reigns on expanding their digital presence. She recently began offering one-on-one coaching and group programs to entrepreneurs looking to build their personal brand. Her skills in strategic thinking, goal setting, and creative execution consistently allow her clients and workshop attendees to gain clarity on their branding, increase online engagement and generate new leads and opportunities. The Sacramento Works Job Center System provides resources and services to employers and job seekers in Sacramento County. Planning, policy, and oversight for the system is the responsibility of Sacramento Works, Inc., the Workforce Development Board, a 27-member volunteer board of directors. Services, resources, workforce development sector strategies, training programs, and services to employers are provided by the staff of Workforce Development Department of the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency, the Employment Development Department and over 40 community workforce development partners.
