    About this event

Are you curious about software engineering, and want to build awesome, interactive projects on your own? Are you looking to understand what tools and skills you’ll need to do so?

At General Assembly’s free event, you’ll learn the basic tools to create your own browser-based game. At this interactive session, you’ll learn how to build your own game in only a few hours. Using basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript, you’ll walk away with your own personal version of the classic arcade game.

If you’re looking to dive a bit deeper into the world of software engineering, and what it takes to get a job in the industry, we’ll also share information on our Software Engineering Immersive (SEI). Whether you’re looking to cross-over into a role that requires you to know programming, to level up in your existing role, or if you’re curious about this career path, join us and figure out if this immersive course is a fit for you.

During the this event, you will:

  • Use basic HTML, CSS and Javascript to build a game in your browser
  • Meet the GA team and our SEI instructors
  • Get an overview of SEI curriculum and course objectives
  • Discover the perks of being a student at GA
  • This session is free and open to anyone who is curious about software engineering. All you’ll need to bring with you is your laptop. We hope to see you on campus!
