About This Workshop

In this workshop, for people and businesses already working with social media, you’ll be taken through a step-by-step methodology that will guide your efforts to develop an actionable social media strategy for your business or organisation.

You’ll learn how to structure your social media efforts with a strategy which is right for your business, extend your business values, culture and business needs into content, target your audience using the platforms that are right for your audience and assess your social media for success to make sure your business goals are being met.

This workshop is highly interactive with group activities and discussions throughout. To participate you will need to:

  • Have your camera turned on for the entire session
  • Have an accessible microphone
  • Be in a quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions
  • Strong internet connection

Freelance Strategist and Consultant

Karen P’ng is a freelance strategist and consultant specialising in social media, digital marketing and content strategy. Having previously worked at Australia’s largest online retailer for 4.5 years, Karen turned to a full-time freelance role to help SMEs and established brands grow with structure and strategy. From fashion and furniture, to finance, she has worked with a range of clients including THE ICONIC, BrickX, Brosa, Weatherzone, and Escrow.com. Karen holds a BA from Queensland University of Technology but believes that most of her skills and expertise came from her experiences of learning on the job and consistent up-skilling through short courses.
