Contemplating a tech bootcamp in Singapore? Our admissions FAQs will help you get started

    General Assembly
    January 14, 2026

Thinking about a bootcamp to start your tech career change can feel exciting—right up until the questions start stacking up. Cost. Job outcomes. AI. Whether this is even the right move.

So what do Singaporeans really want to know before committing to a bootcamp? They want clarity. On subsidies, outcomes, job demand, and whether a career change makes sense in an AI-driven market.

If you’ve asked even one of these, you’re in the right place.

The top questions our admissions team answers on the regular

How much does the government subsidy cover?

A: If you qualify for the Tech Immersion and Placement Programme (TIPP), you can receive:

    • Up to SGD9,100 subsidy if you are under 40
    • Up to SGD11,700 subsidy if you are 40 and above

Subsidies can significantly reduce upfront cost, and many learners also combine them with other government support. Learn more about subsidies and financing options here.

How is the job market for data analytics, software engineering, and UX design?

The market is shifting, not shrinking. Employers are increasingly listing AI as a core requirement in job descriptions. Demand is growing for hybrid professionals—people who understand fundamentals and know how to apply AI in their role. The chart below highlights just how much the demand for AI skills, across all industries, has grown in just five years from 2019-2024.

With the rise of AI, do employers still need these roles?

Because AI doesn’t replace the human element of critical thinking. Employers still need people who can:

    • Frame the right problems
    • Manage projects and stakeholders
    • Apply judgment, not just generate outputs

AI supports the work. Humans own the decisions.

What kind of job support does GA offer?

Career support is built into the learning experience, not added on later. From LinkedIn updates and opportunities to resumes and portfolios, we support your career transition starting from day one of a bootcamp.

    We support you with:

    • 1:1 career coaching—even after the programme ends
    • Outcomes programming during the course
    • Technical interview preparation and hiring guidance

Does GA connect students to employers?

Yes. While the job search ultimately depends on the individual, after 10 years in Singapore, we’ve built strong relationships with hiring partners and an active alumni network across industries. Plus, as part of the Adecco group, our grads are automatically connected to the second largest staffing firm in the world.

    What does “AI-native” mean?

Our AI-native programmes are designed with AI embedded into the curriculum—not bolted on at the end. You learn fundamentals alongside real-world AI application from day one.

How is GA different from other education providers?

Our students feel the GA difference. From world-class curriculum taught live from industry pros and capstone projects based on real-life case studies to career coaching and connections through our parent company, the Adecco group, our bootcamps are  designed to help students demonstrate job-ready skills and build portfolios that employers notice.

    Do you offer part-time programmes?

Yes. Part-time options are available for learners balancing work, family, or other commitments.

Can I use my SkillsFuture Credits?

Yes. For eligible courses, including our AI Native bootcamps, you can use your SkillsFuture Opening Credits (Up to SGD500) to top up the remaining balance even after subsidies are applied.

    So, what’s your next step?

Most people don’t need a brochure. They need a conversation.

GA Singapore offers free in-person coffee chats with admissions specialists so you can talk through your goals, ask honest questions, and figure out whether a bootcamp—or a different path—actually makes sense.

No pressure. No commitment. Just clarity.

You don’t have to figure this out alone

A career change doesn’t start by just enrolling in a bootcamp. It starts with asking the right questions to make sure you’re on the right path.

If any of the above questions sounded familiar, your next step isn’t to overthink it alone. It’s to talk it through—with someone who understands the Singapore job market and has helped thousands of learners navigate this decision.

Explore GA’s bootcamps in Singapore, or book an in-person coffee chat with admissions to talk through the options. You never know—one conversation can change everything.
