Yanir is an experienced data scientist with a background in both software engineering and statistics. Throughout his career, he has solved isolated data problems, but has also built production systems that serve millions of users. He consistently delivers top results in various areas such as recommender systems, text mining, price forecasting, and search personalisation. Examples include: ranking highly as a Kaggle Master, producing award-winning PhD work, and implementing live systems that substantially increase revenue through smart use of data.

Yanir has held data science leadership positions at two Australian startups, after obtaining his PhD from Monash University. Prior to that, he performed various software engineering roles at Intel, Qualcomm and Google. He is now forging his own path as an independent consultant and entrepreneur.
