Will’s background is in strategy consulting, analytics and more recently data science. He is currently CTO and co-founder of Hoxton Analytics, a retail analytics solution that can provide people counting and shopper demographics to ‘bricks & mortar’ retailers based only on the shoes that shoppers are wearing. This innovative approach allows retailers to optimise their businesses whilst avoiding the privacy issues that surround competing facial recognition and mobile tracking technologies. Will is fascinated by the range of applications of AI technologies and has himself built numerous solutions on topics ranging from telematics insurance to predicting cricket matches and of course ‘shoe recognition’.
