Wendy Garrett is a User Experience Designer based in Austin, Texas. Her background in photojournalism & research led her to the world of UX Design, and she recently completed the GA 10-week User Experience Design Immersive in Austin. She is passionate about the intersection of technology, design, culture, anthropology, and ethics. She has lived in Copenhagen, Los Angeles, Carmel, The Mojave Desert, Santa Fe, and in her truck while traveling around the country with her cameras, books, and tape recorder in tow to research and document stories about people, environmental identity, and history. She is happiest when stretching both the analytical and creative parts of her brain to build and produce beautiful, data-driven work that will have a lasting impact. Her daily goal is to have an adventure, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn something new. When she’s not designing, she enjoys cooking, travel, planning road trips, writing, and collecting records. She is excited to nurture future designers on their own path to success by providing helpful feedback and mentorship.
