Vanessa is a backend software development engineer on the Services team at Glympse, a passionate community builder, a lover of big data and elegant solutions, and a continual work-in-progress.
Glympse is a temporary location service provider usable in many industries and hosted in the cloud, where we all live now.
Vanessa grew up in Nogales, Arizona and lived part-time inside intricate works of fiction. She moved to Seattle in 2006 to work as a mathematics educator and data analyst, and was later mentored into accepting the challenge of becoming a software engineer.
Her personal "why" is to help elevate and make real the inspirations and innovations of underrepresented people.
Vanessa is bad at CSS, but good at making services talk to each other and optimizing with algorithms. She is currently falling in love with Golang.
