Tunji began his career as a summer Engineering Assistant at the historic AT&T Bell Laboratories in the early 1990s. During his time at Emory University, Tunji would take the talents he gained and connections he made to play an instrumental role in launching multiple startup companies consulting and training domestically and internationally in the field of Information Technology and Security. With a focus on consulting and training others on advanced security solutions, Tunji remarkably acquired and maintained security industry certifications like the CISSP and CISM as well as over 20 vendor specific technology and security certifications. As an experienced and certified instructor, Tunji is among the ranks of few security professionals who can rightfully claim to have delivered information security training and services in English, Japanese (with a translator), and Spanish.

Prior to joining New York Life Insurance Company, Tunji was Vice President of Security Operations at an Atlanta Information Security Risk Management firm with a national footprint and his role included responsibility for managing the security engineering team in the delivery of professional and managed security services. That role was a return to the U.S. for Tunji after having spent significant time in a managing security consultant role helping to establish a new VeriSign CA and security services affiliate serving a large part of Latin America out of Mexico City.

Since joining New York Life Insurance Company, Tunji has assumed increasing levels of responsibility including leadership of multiple teams. Bringing extensive knowledge, structure, process, and team development with him to any group he joins, Tunji is an effective people manager and a driving influence on his team. With over 20 years of experience in his field, Tunji brings a wealth of information to the table.
