Atlanta
Tova Gelfond had her first taste of journalism at age 9 when she wrote a story about foreign affairs happening in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and has been in love with the field ever since. Most recently, she founded and launched LOOKBOOK Atlanta — a design-centric city guide devoted to the best food, fashion, design and experiences in the city. LOOKBOOK is created by the same team heading up Eidé Magazine — an award-winning print culture and lifestyle publication currently on newsstands at Whole Foods and major boutiques throughout the southeast.
She began Eidé Magazine as a passion project after working as Creative Director of B Culture Media, a digital advertising agency that boasts clients such as Cole Haan and Tourneau. Before immersing herself in the field of advertising, she was purely devoted to editorial. She took on the role of Editor-in-Chief at Blush magazine, a regional women's publication based out of Chattanooga, Tenn. with a focus on "power, passion and possibilities." At this time, she was also a freelance writer at major national magazines like O: The Oprah Magazine and Brides.
Prior to that, she worked at Dickey Publishing, balancing roles as the Associate Editor of Atlanta Sports & Fitness magazine, the Assistant Editor of JEZEBEL magazine and Contributing Editor of Tuxedo Road magazine all at the same time. She was also formerly the Assistant Editor of Women's Health & Fitness magazine, a national high-energy publication centered around healthy lifestyles.
A writer and editor who specializes in the fields of health, beauty, celebrity, wedding and travel, Gelfond has interviewed stars such as Kristin Davis, Kevin Costner, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Piven, Ludacris and Gavin DeGraw (to name a few), and continues to write for several local and national publications.
