Dr. Tony Fast is programmer, scientist and educator with a background in
materials science, manufacturing, and open science. At Georgia Tech, he designed courses and tools to encourage collaboration and expedite scientific research. As a specialist in data analytics and visualization, he has worked with academic, government and industry partners, including Novelis Aluminum, Teledyne Scientific, National Institute of Standards and Technology, NASA, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, and Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, he uses data science to visualize the contributions, growth and effect of open source software.
