Tom Brennan

After over 20 years in the Financial industry, Tom was ready for change and willing to take action. He enrolled in and recently graduated from the 12-week Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly.

His time in finance was split between trading and COO roles. On the trading side, Tom spent six years on the floor of the Coffee, Sugar & Cocoa exchange working in coffee options. He also spent three years trading loans and Credit Default Swaps (CDS) as part of a team that managed the risk of a multi-billion dollar loan portfolio. His experiences included the build-out of infrastructure for the tracking of loan commitments and their associated revenues, analysis of large data sets to be used for the tracking and forecasting of revenues, headcount and new business initiatives.
