Theodore Van Rooy obtained an M.S. in Applied Math in 2006 from the University of Colorado and has been working on Big Data problems since it’s naissance in the early 2000’s. Mr. Van Rooy started his career in the field of advertising optimization with Google and has since applied his knowledge in advanced analytics, statistics, non-linear optimization, machine learning and high performance computing to a variety of fields including Energy, Security, Finance, Marketing, Transportation and Telecom. Mr. Van Rooy primarily uses R for data analysis, is comfortable doing Devops with the BDAS/Hadoop stacks and Java, but also has significant experience turning his data analysis into user friendly web apps with HTML5 web frontends.
