Simon is pioneering internal communications at PagerDuty from the ground up much like a typical Silicon Valley startup: testing and iterating quickly while scaling efficiently, using relevant GIFs or memes when necessary, and drinking lots of cold brew. So far, it’s working.
Prior to PagerDuty, Simon helped engage, inform and inspire employees during challenging times at LendingClub. Before that, he polished his storytelling chops at Fortune 500 company, Pacific Life, and started combing through internal communications data before measurement became cool.
Simon, an award-winning sportswriter, received a B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Fullerton and spent three years on the Daily Titan newspaper staff, including a year as sports editor.
