Sameera is a designer and educator living in Austin, TX originally from Curaçao. She writes and speaks about design and Diversity & Inclusion. Sameera has written for The Pastry Box Project, as well as a monthly column for print and online editions of net magazine. She speaks at design and tech conferences about design education, inclusion, and equality at conferences around the country. She shares her thoughts on the web in the documentary, What Comes Next Is The Future.
Sameera has held executive and instructional roles such as Director of Academic Operations and Diversity, Director of Instruction, and Design Instructor both for-profit boot camps and higher education universities. Sameera is also the Tech Ladies City Organizer for Austin and on the Austin Design Week advisory board. She is currently a Designer at thoughtbot.
