Sam serves as Managing Editor for Contently, a storytelling and content marketing startup that graduated from the initial Techstars class. He has worked defining content strategy for major publishers, such as The Atlantic and Forbes, and Fortune 500 brands such as Google, Progressive, and Rackspace. Sam has also consulted for several firms, including Google and Facebook. He writes frequently on the future of media for Nieman Lab, Quartz, and The Content Strategist, and previously worked as a political blogger in Washington, D.C. He holds an M.S. from the Columbia Journalism School and earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University.
