SAM KENNIS co-founder of The Hospo Group, Which includes ‘Three Wolves, Flamingos The Fox Small Bar, Wolf Lane Distillery. He also is co-owner and co-founder of Bay Rd Brewing.
Sam had always loved the hospitality industry and gained experience working in Canada and then back in Sydney where he also studied both business administration and event management at TAFE. After a few more years hands-on experience in Canada, he added a degree in Media, Communication, Advertising, and Marketing Distinction at Wollongong University.
The Hospo Group was formed with entrepreneur Darren Barber, Grant Buckham and Sam bringing the hospitality expertise. They decided to open their first bar in Cairns. Three more in Cairns followed quickly with Grant opening the Bay Road Brewery back in New South Wales. Soon after this, Sam and Darren opened Wolf Lane Distillery.
The tropical gin has won several awards including gold medal at the Australian gin awards, while the Navy Strength Gin picked up World’s Best Navy Strength at the Gin Guide Awards 2020 in London. The Hospo group has also been voted the "World’s Best Bar Group" By The Gin awards in London 2021.
