Rishi Raje comes to us with an extensive background and 12+ years of experience in Product Management. At Microsoft, he worked on several consumer and enterprise products including Windows, large scale Windows services, enterprise management products and the first version of the Windows Store. He led a team that built the first version of a real time telemetry service for the Windows Store. In San Francisco he worked for a startup on projects that bring real world logistics (gift delivery, in-person matchmaking etc.) to the online dating space. He is on a long sabbatical since 2015, exploring various passions including cooking and teaching.
Rishi believes that Product Management is an often misunderstood discipline, and more of an art than a science. He hopes to share his experiences and learnings working across multiple products, small and big companies, and as a senior manager and new PM with students eager to begin the Product Management journey.
Having taught AP Computer Science in local high schools, Rishi strongly believes that there isn't a fixed instruction style for all students, and a successful instructor needs to modify/alter his or her style to ensure that each individual student gets the most out of the course material. A big proponent of hands on work, projects and practical assignments, Rishi is excited to join the GA instructor team.
Rishi has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. In his spare time, he can be found in his lab/kitchen trying to perfect exploding passion fruit jelly spheres :)
In this ten-week course, students will learn to navigate the product cycle, from evaluating users and managing a roadmap to creating an MVP and developing metrics.
