Richard is a full stack web developer by trade but he also has a passion for teaching. He delights in seeing the proverbial "lightbulb" switch on in students' heads and figuring out the best way to approach both extroverted and introverted students alike.
Richard is originally from Chico in Northern California and graduated from the Web Development Immersive Remote course before heading out to New York City to start his career anew. Before he switched to web development, he worked as a writer and content marketer for small media companies and individuals with Don't Panic Management. He also held leadership positions while working at CSU Chico and Butte County Behavioral Health.
In his spare time, he enjoys basically any outside physical activity you can think of. If money weren't any issue, he'd have hiked across half the world by now and driven all the way across the world! Being a web developer can open up that door for you if you enjoy the nomadic work lifestyle.
