    Radhika Bhatt is a civic technologist and innovator whose passion lies at the nexus of technology and government, and is invested in using the power of community building to connect innovative minds and inspire a new generation of technologists and designers dedicated to using their crafts for good. She is an experienced technologist who has worked as a front end developer, user experience designer, service designer, and program manager in various industries. Currently as Deputy Director of The Opportunity Project at the Census Open Innovation Labs, she leads a federal program which brings collaborators together to create technologies that solve challenges in communities across the country, all while using federal open data.

    Additionally, Radhika is deeply involved in the creative community in DC and has led groups like Ladies Wine & Design DC and participated as a floater trustee with the Awesome Foundation DC. She currently serves on the AIGA DC Board of Directors as the Development Director, and is responsible for ]sponsorships and partnerships with the nonprofit focusing on empowering and uplifting the design community and profession. Radhika is passionate about public speaking, and has given keynote speeches at events like Cisco DevNet, and has spoken at various events like TechLady Hackathon (now Tech, Rebalanced), Association of Arts Administration Educators Conference, Inclusion NextWork seminar, Fjord Equinox, and more. She is passionate about mentorship and networking, and has spoken about those subjects in addition to the topics of open data, civic tech, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

    Radhika is deeply passionate about making careers in technology more equitable, technology more accessible, and community building amongst underrepresented people in tech.
