Phill has had some amazing strides in his career as an actor. He was one the first alumni for Stella Adler’s Black Arts Theater Movement lead by his mentor, Miss Phylicia Rashaad. He has been cast in several well known network & cable television shows such as Power, Murphy Brown, Blue Bloods, New Amsterdam & Ray Donovan. He has also brought his talents to the stage in several off-broadway productions as well.
As an educator, PJ is a Teaching Artist for the Bric Arts Media Youth Education Program. Through his residencies in several schools in Brooklyn, he teaches young impressionable minds about digital photography, audio & video production. By doing this, he has seen his students become excited in ways unimaginable. Who knows maybe one of his students will be the next Ava DuVernay, Lena Waithe or Spike Lee. As digital content creator, he is driven to focus solely on creating safe spaces for black and brown faces to be authentic, vulnerable & most of all to love their melanated skin in every way imaginable.
He is the creator and cohost of the 2019 BSpoke Award nominated podcast and with fingers crossed the 2020 award winning "Highly Melanated Podcast" Each episode has something different on the menu from topics such as financial literacy, mental health and wellness, women’s reproductive justice.
