Pieter den Heten has over 16 years experience working in digital media. In his home country The Netherlands he worked in various creative and technical roles, leading digital projects primarily in the digital media and online publishing industries. He has worked agency as well as client side, with several blue-chip clients, advising startups (peer-to-peer/collaborative consumption) and as a senior consultant with Government. He is one of the founders of Cascadis, a professional association for web- and content managers who work for the government in The Netherlands. They currently have over 600 paying members from more than 170 organisations. Over the past 4 years in Australia he worked with several Sydney based Startups and Agencies, with Destination NSW, Think Education and for Melbourne based agency IE Agency in-house with Telstra Digital. He is an expert at User Experience Design, User Interface Design and has extensive professional experience in Usability/Accessibility, Digital Strategy and Project Management.
