Paul O'Brien
Paul O'Brien is a part time startup CMO, Principle in a private venture capital firm, and founder of Accelerate Texas and MediaTech Ventures. That's a lot of different hats best summed in thinking of his work as economic development of venture capital. He drives startups through funding to exit, such that they foster Austin's venture capital economy and investment in Texas innovation. Paul is a mentor in the CleanTech Open, Texas Venture Growth Forum, Galvanize, and Seed Sumo, and was profiled in the Michael Miller book, Online Marketing Heroes in the mid 00's, following his work with Yahoo and Hewlett Packard. Paul has been involved in a half dozen exits with acquisitions to Comcast, eBay, LinkedIn, Sprinklr, and GoDaddy, and writes prolifically about the Austin economy and fundraising.
