    CIO, Greencross

    Sydney

Formerly the CIO at APG & Co, which owns Sportscraft, Saba, Jag and Willow, Paul Kennedy was poached by Greencross last year. Greencross is a leading specialty pet care retailer with more than 200 stores, operating under the brand names of Petbarn and City Farmers in Australia and Animates in New Zealand.

In the first half of FY16, Greencross’ online sales revenue growth was strong at 70 per cent. Visits to the Petbarn website have increased to over 550,000 per month and, after a record month in January, Greencross is now on target to reach $10 million in annualised online sales revenue by the end of FY2016.

At APG & Co Kennedy led IT and digital operations and oversaw the development of an omnichannel distribution model. Prior to that, he was at John Lewis where he was responsible for implementing a digital platform which increased online sales to more than £1 billion annually.
