    Engineering Manager, SimplePractice

    Los Angeles

Paul Doulatshahi is an Engineering Manager at SimplePractice, a practice management software and EHR solution for health & wellness professionals. He works in Ember.js (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) on the front end and Ruby on Rails on the back end.

Paul teaches several workshops and part-time courses, focusing on the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and programming as a whole. He loves teaching because he is passionate about web development and how it allows people to build projects and applications that share their passions with the world.

Paul is based in Los Angeles, where he grew up. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking and playing video games. He also occasionally takes improv classes when he has the time; they do help with his teaching, although he has to remember to not "yes and…" a programming question that he can’t answer right away while teaching.
