Patricia Etheridge is an internationally recognized media specialist with trusted contacts in the field, and a love and understanding of global communications.

She is chief storyteller and founder of her own creative firm, Etheridge & Company, which excels in a wide range of media work. Currently, she works as writer and media consultant for Accenture.

Recently, Etheridge served as professor of journalism and public relations at Georgia State University.

A native of Danville, Virginia, she was among those broadcast journalists who joined the Cable News Network (CNN) during its early, formative years. Etheridge worked as a producer, reporter, news correspondent and anchor – covering troop deployments, earthquakes, hurricanes, presidential elections and more.

While at CNN, Etheridge launched Parenting Today, the first network television show devoted to coverage of raising and educating children. As CNN’s parenting correspondent, she served as the network’s specialist on child development, education and pediatrics.

After CNN, Etheridge served as a senior vice president with Ketchum, a worldwide public relations firm, where she created internationally successful media campaigns for Fortune 100 clients.

In 2004, Etheridge launched her own business. Etheridge & Company has earned top honors for its writing, media strategy, corporate documentaries, public service announcements, multi-platform productions and publications.

She attended Averett College in Virginia, then earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri. She began her career as a reporter at WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina, and later garnered an Emmy for outstanding achievement as a producer at KTVI in St. Louis.

Etheridge is a Packard Future of Children Fellow, completing a program on child and family policy at the University of Maryland. She also served as a strategist and advisor for the Johnson & Johnson Pediatric Institute and attended the White House Summit on Early Childhood Cognitive Development.

She has a love of all things Latin American – she is proficient in Spanish and owns a home in Uruguay.
