Nina Shapiro is an instructor and freelance digital media consultant with expertise in social media. She ran social media at Polaroid for five years prior to deciding to break out on her own. She has also led study abroad programs in Guatemala and Mexico through her alma mater, Carleton College. She currently works with small businesses and startups developing digital strategies to help them achieve their business objectives. She also serves as the Chief Social Officer for Bridge Figures, a new human rights organization that uses social media to provide support for local artists, activists, and journalists in their work for social change.
Nina started her relationship with General Assembly as a student a couple years ago and is excited to be able to now instruct the classes that so greatly helped her to further her career.
