Nicky Ringland
Founder, Grok Learning
Nicky is one of the founders of Grok Learning, an educational startup teaching the world to code. A serial volunteer, she is also an Outreach Officer for the National Computer Science School, an initiative of the University of Sydney, and runs outreach activities (workshops, camps and competitions) to inspire and educate high school students and teachers in computer science. Last year, the National Computer Science School taught over 6000 students from Australia and New Zealand to program through an online competition: "The NCSS Challenge". Nicky also runs the Girls' Programming Network, a free quarterly coding workshop for girls from all over Sydney. In any remaining free time, Nicky is a PhD student in computational linguistics.
