My-Linh Tran is a queer Asian-American who is an advocate for authentic queer and trans representation within the advertising and creative industry, as well as within the broader society. Even though being fresh in their career, they have been very vocal about their experiences as a trans queer person of color in hopes of sparking necessary and impactful dialogue around the issues and challenges faced by the community.
Additionally, they are a huge supporter of diversity, engagement and inclusion within the advertising and creative spaces where they champion multicultural junior talent through their involvement with the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP) hosted by The 4A's and MADE (Marketing and Advertising Education) intern program hosted by The ANA Educational Foundation. Within these two programs, they have taken on the role of a mentor, a role model and a friend for the college students and recent grads.
Currently, they work at an advertising agency named Droga5 in New York City where they work with incredibly smart people to solve problems through creativity and collaboration with the intention of creating meaningful and purposeful work.
