Molly Norris is a product designer, prototyper, and passionate doer. Currently, she’s a senior UI engineer with Pivotal Labs where she’s part of agile teams that develop innovative and highly scalable mobile and web software. Formerly, she was the Principal User Experience Designer at Blue State Digital, a creative agency and technology firm that builds and mobilises communities to take action on behalf of some of the world’s leading brands, institutions, causes, and campaigns—most notably for both of Barack Obama’s presidential bids. In this role, Molly was a creative lead for clients such as the Natural History Museum and the UK Labour Party. Molly mentors project teams and social enterpises in human-centred design and lean methodologies.
Molly served as an innovator in residence at IDEO.org, the non-profit that grew from design and innovation firm IDEO. Previously, Molly was the point person for interactive projects at the World Bank where she developed online platforms for greater transparency and engagement with global and multilingual audiences. Prior to this, Molly was an online producer for WashingtonPost.com, and later, ABC News.
