Mimi Chan, a serial entrepreneur, is the Founder and CEO of Littlefund. Prior to Littlefund, Mimi was founder and CEO of Thread Media Inc. in 2011, a social commerce startup acquired by Shop Bevel in 2013. Mimi spent most of her professional career in New York City, first at the Bank of New York before moving into real estate development and investment at private firms. In 2008, as the Founding COO, Mimi launched Pencils of Promise, a non-profit organization providing access to early childhood education in developing countries. Today, Pencils of Promise has built over 430 primary schools between 4 countries. Mimi, born in a refugee camp in the Philippines after her parents escaped Vietnam on a boat, grew up in Texas and holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Houston. She currently resides in San Francisco with her family.
