As a Seattle native, Mikhael Mei Williams credits the City’s vibrant art, music, and entertainment landscape as the impetus for her career in marketing and communications with a specific focus on promoting creative organizations and events. She is a strategic marketing and management specialist with experience leading comprehensive communications and promotional strategies – from public and media relations outreach; to marketing, branding and advertising campaigns; to gala and special events planning and management.
Ms. Williams currently works for the City of Seattle Office of Film + Music where she manages the Seattle Music Commission and works to bolster the city’s creative economy. Prior to this she worked as the Director of Digital Marketing Strategy for Votiv, Inc. a Seattle based artist management and independent record label; for AEG Live as Regional Marketing Manager where she oversaw the marketing and promotion of all Showbox Presents club level concerts taking place in the Pacific Northwest; and as the Marketing & Communications Director for One Reel, Festivals developing promotional strategies for Bumbershoot and the Family 4 th at Lake Union. Additionally, she has held key positions at renowned creative organizations such as the Maryland Institute College of Art, Hammer Museum at UCLA, Long Beach Museum of Art and Sundance Film Institute in Beverly Hills.
