Mike fell into web technology after co-founding the startup OpenAction, which developed software for nonprofits and foundations. As a non-technical founder, Mike became aware that he didn't have the skill sets to contribute to building product. When OpenAction closed its doors, Mike joined the newly-formed Digital Strategy team at the Michael J. Fox Foundation. He began learning to code in his free time, spending nights and weekends pouring over webinars, books, and tutorials.
Mike now manages the Web Development Team at the Fox Foundation. His team oversees a variety of web technologies including PHP, Rails, and AngularJS.
