Mike and his partners founded Taylor Stitch with the purpose of making the best custom shirt you could buy online. They still make great custom shirts but the business has transformed to a new way of thinking about retail clothing. Every one of their weekly collections is put through a crowdfunding process to gauge demand and size breakdown before going into production. They are able to pass on savings to their consumer because they don't have to rely on putting things on sale at the back end. They would rather reward their customers on the front end with a discount for waiting for them to produce the products.

Aside from a small friends and family round the company has been bootstrapped and profitable and the founders intend to keep it that way as they continue to grow their lifestyle brand with the recent launch of a women's line.
