Mike represents the Scottish contingent of the Six Degrees team, joining the business in 2013 to run the NSW operation. Mike is a member of the board and like all of our Directors, Mike is ‘hands on’, recruiting Sales, Category, Marketing and Business Development across FMCG, Retail and Consumer sectors at executive level.

Mike’s recruitment career spans decades. Prior to Six Degrees, Mike spent two years in New Zealand running the Wellington office of an international agency. During this time, Mike won the country’s biggest recruitment contract for "All of Government". He spent 11 years with the same agency in Scotland as a Director for multiple practices including Sales, Marketing, HR, legal, Supply Chain and Finance.

Mike is very proud of his work as Chairman of a charity called Challenges Worldwide, who place professionals overseas to use their skills in order to deliver sustainable projects in disadvantaged counties. Prior to recruitment, Mike gained commercial experience as a Product Manager in a large UK FMCG business.

Much of Mike’s success is attributed to his planning and strategising ability. He believes that a goal without a plan is just a wish.
