There are 3 things that get Mike excited about building software: the act of creating something that never existed, the feeling that comes after a piece of code does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and learning new technologies or applying prior knowledge in new and different ways. Mike’s career has taken him from beginning as a code monkey to leading development teams at companies across the US, most recently as the Vice President of Engineering for a startup as they transitioned from an initial working prototype into a scalable application. Now that he’s in Colorado, when he’s not helping other companies create their products as a consultant or building his own startup, you can find him putting miles on his bike or exploring the mountains hiking.
