Los Angeles
Michael currently manages analytics across all digital media campaigns for Universal Pictures and Focus Features and has been analyzing the effectiveness of digital advertising for just about five years across a number of the largest entertainment, gaming and travel brands. Michael has a passion for data, and finding stories in noisy and fragmented data sets, that was discovered through a good deal of luck – he stumbled into a digital media analytics position without even knowing what a pivot table was in excel and never looked back.
Michael is a General Assembly alumnus having completed the Data Science course over the summer of 2014 to learn more about enhanced analytical techniques and how to apply them to a real set of data. He genuinely believes that the course has altered how he approaches his job on a daily basis since the day he signed up, knowing he would have to google nearly everything mentioned in class to attempt to make sense of it all.
A tinkerer at heart, Michael loves to cook, play sports, blend random bottles of wine and build websites when he is not obsessing over the perfect formula or data visualization.
